Mulberry, the British luxury goods company recently unveiled Spring 2009 handbag collections which were designed by the new Mulberry designer Emma Hill. Described as the fashion artist quintessentially embodies the British way of life, Mulberry has won the reputation for simple, clean, elegant and understated styles. Like many other Mulberry products, the handbag line has become the favorite shoulder candy for some gorgeous celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Kate Moss.
Emma Hill, newly appointed by Mulberry as the creative director, released her first collection for Mulberry. The three new handbag designs she brought are Jenah, Mitzy and Shimmy. With classic Mulberry style, the three designs feature respective distinction. The Jenah is classy and elegant with semicircular metal button and braided chain detail. The Jenah collection comes in clutch and tote. Inspired by youthful spirit, Mitzy bag stamped with Mulberry logo has styles like hobo, shoulder bag and tote. The bag arousing great temptation is Shimmy bag with sporty shoulder strap and over-sized hardware. The styles of Shimmy bag are tote, hobo and satchel.
Graduated from Ravensbourne Fashion School in Great Briton, 1992, Emma Hill worked as accessory designer for Burberry and Marc Jacobs. Afterwards, she went to America and Paris, steering the helms of accessories design for several famous brands. In 2007, she replaced the former creative director Katie Grand at Mulberry and began her innovation for the British brand. Hill’s handbag collection for Mulberry is well matched with her apparel design, because they are inspired by the same theme and color. The standout hallmark of Hill’s handbag design is functionality. You can easily find a light-weighted bag with detachable shoulder strap or functional interior small pockets. Additionally, many bright colors are introduced for Mulberry handbag new collections. The hues and shades are fuchsia, lemon yellow, metallic gold and blue jean. Hill has changed Mulberry’s constant earth tone to a colorful direction.
The shimmy bag is designed in a slouchy shape with chunky hardware, top dual handles and a removable shoulder strap. If you want a casual and chic look, shimmy bag may fit you, as it is sporty, functional and versatile. alright well im looking for some necklaces for my girlfriend shes 18 and shes been wanting a necklace but there’s no way im gonna find a unique one that someone at her school already wears or something boring like a plain heart.. I don’t know exactly what im looking for, but her style is kinda of Indian-ish. Like thanksgiving Indians.. by that i mean she doesn’t wear bright colors and doesn’t wear heels and what not.
