What should I do with my money?
I have some money that I'm not using, and probably will not need any time soon. We are in a recession. What do I do that? CD? Shares? Investing in real estate? Buying jewelry? Tesoro gasoline? 
Do not want to buy real property assets roots, but there must be other ways to invest in it.
Do you have an emergency fund? An emergency fund is enough money to cover expenses 3-6 months (at least) and to cover unexpected expenses. If you do not have an emergency fund, I encourage you to put your money in a savings account that can access the funds, as long as you need them. Since CDs are paying such low prices, not worth getting one. Also, you do not want to block money fund emergency an account that can not be accessed immediately. If you already have an emergency fund, you should consider putting some of this money for retirement. A Roth IRA is a good choice. It is never too early to save for retirement. Hope this helps.
