Do people tell you that you must sell your handmade jewelry? Is Interested, but do not know How to start? There are plenty of free resources on the Internet that can inform them of what you need to know. Here are my Top 7 great resources to learn how to sell handmade jewelry.
1. The Jewelry Sweet Spot (http://www.thejewelrysweetspot.com)
A great site is entirely dedicated to jewelry designers and craftsmen. Offers free E-Marketing Lessons to teach you how to grow your business faster, articles about dozens of ways to promote your business, sell more and work more efficiently and effectively, and alerts and comments about new products, tools, and books that can help your business.
2. The Jewelry Sweet Spot blog (http://www.thejewelrysweetspot.com/wordpress)
Many of the items here. There is a regular artist jewelry appears (I think around 2 per month). This is a great place to learn about other people who are successful business design jewelry and see what others are doing. There are also free jewelry and How-To tutorials and articles on sale at fairs and online.
3. Initiation Tips for successful jewelry business (http://www.home-jewelry-business-success-tips.com/)
Rena Klingenberg, author, editor and Designer Jewelry has a great site with lots of articles, tips and shortcuts on the sale of handmade jewelry. There are over 400 items listed on this site. Do not miss his interview with Eni Oken. In this interview, Eni Oken explains what she called "the money, easily the best and most concise design tips I've read.

Eni Oken has a number of great resources and tips for jewelry designers including free and paid tutorials that you are free to use their own "for sale" jewelry. So refreshing to see a designer who is willing to share their designs rather than keeping them jealously. All I ask is to help you promote your site as well. Very clever marketing really. Well worth the worth looking at.
5. Jewelry Making at About.com (http://jewelrymaking.about.com/)
This site, maintained by Tammy Powley, offers information on the manufacture and sale of jewelry. It is a very broad addressed to each and every one, fans, beginners and jewelry designers alike. I think it is a bit difficult wade through all the ads, but there are a lot of information here, especially the variety beginner.
6. Art Jewelry Magazine (http://cs.artjewelrymag.com/artcs/)
There is a place of great forum here where you can interact with other designers, ask and answer questions about business, and share photos of their work.
7. Etsy.com (http://www.etsy.com)
This has been a big business for many the starting point. Etsy is a site dedicated to online selling handmade items of all kinds and is a very inexpensive way to get started in selling their jewelry. There is a very active online forum where you can ask critical website, read about selling tips of all kinds (but mostly related to Etsy), and make connections with others. The only caveat is that Etsy is quite saturated with jewelry. If your jewelry is common, can be lost in the sea of jewelry, but if you make very distinctive, appealing jewelry, and do a lot of promotion abroad through craft shows and festivals jewelry houses, you can do quite well on Etsy.
